Alleluia Prayer Service

On Ash Wednesday, students bury the Alleluia....
Many Alleluia songs were sung. As a symbol this year, we buried sand into a container that is in our school lobby right now. We walk out in silence and back to school.

Dr Seuss' Birthday

We had readers come into classrooms to read Dr Seuss books. The kids love it!

Black History Month

The 3rd and 4th graders performed a play "Almost to Freedom"
It was based on a book written by Vaunda Micheaux. Teachers Mrs. Lemke nd Ms. Baumgartner wrote it into a play.
The story is told through the eyes of a doll.
