Franciscan Fr. Richard Rohr once stated that ministers are the gloves on God’s hands, in order that God could touch the world! WOW!

As members of our parish family, we are, each of us, called to minister to each other in some way. We are the gloves on God’s hands.

The good news is there are many different kinds of gloves needed.

Sometimes we just aren’t sure if we’d be ‘good’ at something, or if we’d even like a particular ministry. Rest assured; you are welcome to ‘try on a ministry for size.’ If it doesn’t feel right, that’s okay. Feel free to move on and try something else.

Are you interested in Liturgical Ministries?
These ministries include that of Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Minister of Hospitality, Altar Server, Music (cantor, choir, accompaniment), and extra-ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist to the homebound.

Are you interested in sharing your understanding and knowledge of the faith with others?
These ministries include Little Church Catechists, Catechists for Religious Education for Grade School or Youth Ministry, various aide positions at the grade school, REACH Catechists or Aides, or tutors.

There are various service ministries in the parish, including
cleaning of the sanctuary and church, launder albs and purificators, counting collection monetary gifts on Monday mornings, stuffing bulletins, selling $crip, serving as a volunteer for the Classic Dinner and Auction, the Produce Wagon, parish clean-up days, grounds and gardening, Friends of the Angels Cardmaking, dining room help for funerals, cemetery upkeep, decorating, photographing parish celebrations or events, helping with the information on the parish website.

You could also choose to minister as a member of
the St. Ann’s Society, the Council of Catholic Women, the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Parish Pastoral Council, Finance Council, Building and Maintenance Committee, Art and Environment, Social Concerns Ministry, Alumni Association, FOCCUS Couple, Board of Total Catholic Education, the Prayer Chain, or the Adult Faith Formation Team.

There are over 700 ‘positions’ of ministry in the parish!

That’s a lot of gloves, brothers and sisters!

The lists above are not all-inclusive. There are a lot of ‘unsung heroes’ who minister in other ways, behind the scenes. And of course, we are always open to new ways in which we may serve one another and those outside our parish, in building the ‘City of God.’
