Deacon Majewski was ordained to the Permanent Deaconate in the Diocese of Green Bay on May 25, 2002 by Bishop Robert Banks. Deacon Dennis' ministry of service includes serving with his wife Joan as a 'FOCCUS couple' for marriage preparation, writing and presiding at prayer services with the Assumption B.V.M. School kindergarten and 1st Grade. At the end of the school year, he does a retreat with the 5th graders before they go on to middle school. Deacon Dennis also helps with sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation. He is the facilitator for children’s formation in the faith, as part of the parish RCIA process. He assists at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center as a Eucharistic minister and, when called upon, presides at Liturgy of the Word Services at the hospital. His sacramental ministry includes presiding at Baptisms and Weddings, and preaching at liturgies at our parishes of Assumption B.V.M. and St. Stanislaus. He helps with Little Church and wake services. As part of the parish’ Lenten prayer offerings, he and our Pastoral Minister, Janet Maroszek, lead Evening Prayer. Working with a group of interested parishioners, Deacon Dennis helped create the parish’s monthly Eucharistic Adoration, which is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Side Chapel of Assumption B.V.M. Church. As part of his ministry of service Deacon Majewski along with his wife Joan, was instrumental in forming a local St Vincent de Paul Conference in Pulaski.
